Never had that happen with cheap cables. I had to tighten them with needle-nose pliers. These cables appear so massive that they could never break. But 2 of the RCA-type end connectors out of 6 total had too loose a grip to make a solid and permanent connection.
If you enjoy high quality audio with virtually no distortion or interference, monster audio cables are a must. I purchased these cables in connection with a new Toshiba DVD player, and it sure makes a difference in the audio quality over my old audio cables.
